Designed by Paul Martin, this garden has been Inspired by his love of classical music and in particular appreciation of Handles "Water Music" which was commissioned by King George I and had its debut on the Thames. The team have endeavoured to create a garden that includes an area for the performance and enjoyment of music in a garden setting.

The garden has a slow meandering path which flows through planting, trees and large sandstone rocks. Alongside the path is a rill which drops into the sunken area and pool beneath. The sandstone steps descend into the lower area with blocks of sandstone as seating to enjoy the occasional musician after supper. A mini amphitheatre made of cut sandstone will be the home to various musical artist throughout the show.

Sandstone is used in the garden to show where nature has been tamed with both the natural rock and the cut version used for steps and seating. A rill follows the course of the meandering path mimicking the Thames as it heads towards Hampton Court Palace. Seatings, steps and hedging have all been designed in a curve similar to the amphitheatres of bygone days.

Large multi-stemmed trees give some scale and shade as you walk through the garden. A curved hedge mirrors the shape of the path, large Taxus Domes nestle in between the herbaceous planting and the large sandstone rocks, drifts of grasses add movement to this tranquil garden. Shade loving plants under the trees and in shady areas. The planting becomes more sun loving with herbs in between the sandstone steps.
