By Aralia Garden Design. To be in keeping with the traditional Victorian style of the property, the solution was based around a flowing design which helped to create a journey through the garden and it's different spaces.
The owner of Maltese Road wanted to feel surrounded by plants, but also to have different areas and spaces within the garden.
In order to futher enhance the soft feel of the garden a green wall was used to camoflage the unsightly garage wall, and this also gave perfect views from the dining room of beautiful planting.
The Victorian theme was reflected in the materials chosen; the front path & driveway were constructed from red clay brick pavers, whilst the rear garden paths were carefully laid using granite setts and black quartz paddlestones.
Other key features in the garden included custom made metal pergolas, custom made slate & granite bench, galvanised steel & glass sculpture and hardwood trellis screening.
In order for the garden to be enjoyed at all hours of the day, an intricate lighting scheme was incorporated to highlight key features throughout the garden.
