By garden designer Kathryn Hibberd.
The Sadolin Revive and Refresh garden takes its name from the idea that reclaimed timber can be given a second lease of life and transformed into beautiful garden structures and features.
Set in the Chiltern Hills this village garden is the home to a newly retired couple. Native Prunus trees and Fagus hedging link with the surrounding landscape and encourage wildlife.
Scented Roses, Cornus, Astrantia and Monarda have been chosen as they thrive in the local clay soil.
A colour scheme of white, lilac, purple and plum weaves through feathery grasses giving the garden a natural, relaxed feel.
