By garden designer Patricia Atkins. This garden has been created on a budget. It has minimal hard landscaping, and many of the plants have been grown from seed, cuttings and division.
The rest have been bought from plant sales, swops and markets and grown on. The garden is wildlife-friendly and includes bug houses, woodpiles, a pond, bird feeders and flowers.
It has a rustic, relaxed style with a central border surrounded by a path. The colour palette is subdued, mainly green, white and pale yellow, but with a wide variety of leaf texture.
The outer borders feature shades of blue and purple, and a range of textures and forms.
