Annual trimming (optional)

This is an optional instruction if you are growing your shrubs into trimmed hedges. Otherwise no trimming is required.

If you want to keep the plant to a certain size, first allow it to establish. After second year of growth, prune annually around June (but certainly after flowering) and again in August, clipping the hedge to a tapered shape.
