Biological control of wireworms

Necessary only when wireworms populations are high, nematode mixes that include the nematode Heterorhabditis bacteriophora can be used. Apply as soon as possible after purchase. Nematodes need to be watered into moist soil when temperatures range from 12-20C (54-68F), usually from April to September in most areas. A repeat application may be needed for severe infestations.
