Cultural control of blossom wilt

Remove all rotted fruit promptly.

This fungus enters shoots and flowers through wounds, particularly those caused by birds. Use netting to prevent bird damage. 

Remove and burn infected shoots and flowers.

Consider purchasing resistant fruit cultivar. Resistant apricot cultivars include 'Monique' and 'Moorpark'. Resistant plum cultivars include 'Jefferson', 'Marjorie's Seedling', President', and 'Reine Claude Violette'.
