Cultural control of camellia flower blight

There a number of ways to control or prevent camellia flower blight in the garden:

- Rake up and destroy any fallen, infected flowers.

- If possible, remove infected flowers before they fall.

- Apply a thick mulch under camellias to bury the sclerotia (black resting fungal structures).

- Consider planting autumn-flowering camellias since they bloom before spores are present.
