Cultural control of chrysanthemum white rust

There are a number of ways to control chrysanthemum white rust:

- Check plants regularly. Remove and destroy infected leaves immediately. Do not add infected leaves to compost heaps or bins.

- Severely infected plants should be destroyed. Burn them or seal in a plastic bag and place in the dustbin.

- Do not take cuttings from infected plants.

- Inspect plant carefully before purchasing. If possible, keep recently purchased plants in isolation for several weeks to allow time for latent infections to manifest.
