Cultural control of crown rot on Nymphaea (waterlily)

Take the following steps to control crown rot on waterlilies:

- Remove the plant from the pond and discard any rotting stems.

- Replant any healthy rhizome pieces in fresh compost and place in a water-filled tub.

- Keep the newly-planted waterlilies in isolation until the plant has recovered and shows no sign of infection.

- Do no use fungicides on waterlilies in ponds as they can kill fish and other aquatic animals. Only treat with fungicides when plants are in isolation/quarantine.
