Cultural control of foot and root rot

There are a number of ways to prevent or control foot and root rot:

- Remove an destroy any infected plants. Do not add this material to compost heaps or bins.

- Improve soil drainage in waterlogged areas of the garden.

- Practice crop rotation in vegetable beds.

- Feed at the rate and frequency as recommended by the manufacturer.

- Check the soil's pH. Amend as needed to meet the soil pH requirements of the plants or crops grown.
