Plants grown in warm or hot, dry, crowded glasshouses are more susceptible to glasshouse red spider mite infestations. Maintaining high humidity and regularly spraying plants will reduce risk but will not control the mite on its own.
Remove infested plants by late summer, before female mites seek out places to overwinter. Clear out plant debris, old canes, and unused plant ties as they are great for harboring dormant mites. Keep the area in and around the glasshouse weed-free since they can host mites as well. Empty glasshouse, especially where glasshouse red spider mite was a problem, should be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.
