Cultural control of white blister

There a number of ways to control or prevent white blister in the garden:

- Remove and destroy all infected plant parts.

- Avoid dense plantings as high humidity encourages spore growth.

- Remove weed hosts including ragwort, groundsel, goat's beard, creeping thistle, and shepherd's purse.

- Practice crop rotation, alternating brassica crops with non-brassica crops.

- Consider blister-resistant cultivars. Resistant Brussels sprout cultivars include 'Bridge', Doric', 'Exodus', and 'Maximus'. The broccoli cultivar 'Green Magic' demonstrates good resistance.
