Tolerate pollen beetles

Though a nuisance for cut flowers, pollen beetles do no harm to the blossoms they visit. 

For cut flowers, shake or tap blooms to rid them of beetles.

Enclose show flowers in mesh bags to keep them beetle-free prior to exhibition.

Insecticides should not be used to control pollen beetles since other flower visitors like bees and butterflies will be killed as well.
