Transplant kale seedlings

Seedlings are ready to transplant when they are 10-15 cm (4-6 in) tall. The correct time for transplanting should be governed by their size, not the date.

Transplant kale seedlings into a bed vacated by peas, early potatoes or other early summer crops. Do not dig, simply consolidate the soil - it should not be loose or spongy. Lime if the soil is acid. Needs good drainage.
