I’ve been a gardener and landscaper for over thirty years with a strong interest in garden design for over twenty of those years. I run a small company carrying out garden design and construction with a view that the design should fit the clients needs but encourages them to maximise the garden in new ways. I also believe very much in the planting and soft landscaping balance to the popular trends in hard landscaping.

Biggest gardening accomplishments

I’ve been privileged to work on all sorts of projects some very big and some very small and some not strictly gardens maybe. I’ve worked with one or two clients who have allowed me to develop their gardens as I think they can be over several years and that really is exciting. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with other designers. Arrek Luc with his intriguing commentary on urban gardens with “I disappear” at Hampton court RHS show 2013. This led to working with Sheena seeks in 2014 at Hampton court and her gold medal winning concept garden and again with her at Chelsea 2015 for the Harrods silver gilt winning perfume garden..... But the challenges come with smaller and more compromised spaces even though larger ‘blank canvas’ gardens let you have more fun with the planting.

Three current projects all remodelling older gardens for new uses. Families grow and change so the garden has to as well.
