When to plant

Question from Shoot User

I want to plant a Ceanothus Southmead in my front south-facing garden, against the front house wall. Is that suitable and can I buy and plant now?
Thanks

    Hello Gillian,
Shrubs such as Ceanothus can be planted almost year round, avoiding the heat of the summer (when we get one). Now is a fantastic time to plant trees and shrubs.
    Thanks

    Hi, Gillian,
The location you described sounds like the ideal spot for a Ceanothus (since they are classified H3) unless you live in an area with extremely cold winters.
