Hello My Peace Lilly is growing rather well (its looking more alive each week!), but something a bit odd is that all new flowers since the original white ones (from when I bought it) went brown, have started off green and never go white - is this normal, or just a case of its newer environment (rather than than the shop)? Thanks
In my eyes - you're quite lucky! I grow peace lilys for their foliage only as once they have established, their foliage can get very large and quite stunning in my eyes. However, I appreciate not everyone will like my semi-destructive attitude towards this popular plant! You should try the advice offered here as they do require a lot of light (but not direct sunlight), a monthly feed and regular misting. Failing this, go out and buy another as they establish fairly quickly and before you know it, you'll have a beautiful and large plant to admire for years to come!
Hi, Sama, It could be that it is not getting enough light. Peace lilies like light but not direct sunlight or light. Perhaps move it to a bright spot as long as the sun is not directly shining on it. When did it flower before? If it was flowering when purchased and hasn't flowered since that could be because many sellers will chemically induce flowering. Does it get fed? If not, also try giving it a monthly liquid feed. Finally, mist it regularly. Hope all these suggestions help. Please let me know how you get on. Kathy C
