Can you tell me please when is the best time to plant this?

    Hi, Maria,
    The best time to plant bare root evergreen trees and shrubs is in early to mid-spring, once the soil has warmed up. If the plant is in a container, you can plant at any time as long as the soil isn't frozen (not only would the plant not like it but you most likely wouldn't be able to dig up frozen soil!) Having said that, since Escallonia 'Iveyi' is borderline hardy and you live in Glasgow, I would personally wait to plant until around mid-spring. Make sure it is in a sunny, sheltered spot and be prepared to give it some protection in the event of late frosts/unexpected freezing temperatures.
