It is a very young tree and if it has enough room to grow I would leave it alone. After 5 years if you want to thin out some branches to air out the tree, you can do so after it finishes blooming. Never top a tree, if you cut a branch cut it to where it meets with a main trunk or another good size branch, remove water spouts, these are branches that sprout along main branches and cause congestion. When you cut a branch that is 2inches and bigger in diameter, do an undercut first further along the branch than where you intend the cut to be, then cut from above, this takes the weight off and now you can make the intended cut.. I know this sounds confusing, maybe you can find someone who can guide you through the principles of pruning.
Hi , I have an ornamental flowering tree, Prunus Kanzan, that is about 2-3 yrs old. Should I prune the branches at all ,When & How? All advice appreciated as to the care of this tree as I am a novice. Jenny

Hi, Lucas, Probably the nursery or someone who might have had it before you reused the pot. Your plant is Spathiphyllum wallisii - a tender, tropical plant typically grown indoors. Not sure where you live or if it is kept outside, but you need to take it in if that is the case. How often is it getting watered? Is there good drainage in the pot? It either needs to be watered or, if the soil is saturated, drainage. Kathy C
