Hi, David, It is normal for the older leaves of evergreens to yellow and drop, particularly after a harsh winter (assuming you live where winter was colder than usual this year). However, if the problem is apparent on the majority of the leaves, that raises a few questions. When was it planted? Is it in the right spot? Osmanthus need fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade with shelter from cold, drying winds. Any chance it was too exposed this winter? Would you be able to post a close-up photo of the leaf? Kathy C

Dear Shoot, I've noticed I have a yellowing of the inner tips of the leaves and leaf drop. Please respond to give me advice on this problem. Sincerely, David Danner
