I have a large mature kerria in front of a window. Can I transplant this and if so how?

You can transplant in Fall, when it has dropped all its leaves, it does not have a very deep root system. I usually thin out the canes, to compensate for any loss of root, dig a big hole water the hole really well and place your plant in it, put back the soil and water deeply again, shorten the canes if you have winter winds to contend with.

Sorry Elaine, I've only just seen this and forgot I'd even asked the question.

Since it's October, I'll go out and do it right away!
