Cupressus going brown

Cupressus going brown

Question from Shoot User

I have 2 trees that were planted end of last year. They Are in full sun, but we have had a bit of a problem with wind this year. As other plants grow up they will be more sheltered. We have lots of rain, so they could have become waterlogged, but nowthe ground has dried and is normal!
Have they had too much or noe too little water? Or would this be wind damagefromearlier in the year? They are getting more brown patches, so I think it must be something to do with water.

Thanks

    Hi, Ellen,
If they are turning brown from the bottom up, it could be the too wet conditions they experienced over the winter. If the brown is in patches it sounds more like an aphid or mite infestation.
