growing cannas for first time, bought 3 tubers and planted in 10" pots early April in conservatory two are now sprouting, no sign of life in canna ermine. lifted from pot, no sign of root or shoot,but tuber seems firm and healthy, any help appreciated.

    Hi, Brian,
    If they have all been tended to in the same manner, it is odd that your 'Ermine' hasn't sprouted. Makes me wonder if it is missing a growing nodal point (often called an 'eye'). Without one of these on the rhizome, it won't sprout.
