looking glass plant

I planted 2 of these in an East facing shrub border, but neither have flourished. They were planted over a year ago.I attach a photo of their sorry state.Any tips for encouraging them?

    Hi, Anne,
    Do you have this in your 'Plants I Have' list? If so, you will find out if it is matched with the conditions in your garden. Not sure where you live, but since they are tender, it could be that they did not like the harsh winter so many of us experienced. They need lots of winter protection if left outside or brought under glass over winter.
