I bought a red hot poker from eBay several years ago. I've tried it in various parts if the garden and in tubs nut it hasn't grown or tiered. Not even a bud. It still just has the sage grassy leaves that it had when I bought it. Do I give in and buy a new one, move again, it realise that ny garden won't support knipofia ?!

    Hi, VIv,
    Kniphofia needs full sun (6+ hours a day) to flower well/properly. Any chance it isn't getting enough sun. Other thought is earwigs - they attack Kniphofia buds. Check for them in leaf folds where buds are forming.
