I wonder how it is doing now. Apparently they take a while to get going.

We planted the Agapanthus in a south east facing border last spring (April 2011), the plant has been fed and watered well and looks strong, but it has not flowered at all this season, some of the roots can be seen above ground, should we plant it in a container, if so when?
