We bought this plant this year as a 'weeping' standard. How do we prune to keep it 'weeping' please? can we simply cut back all the growth that is going straight up?

    Hi, Dennis,
    I am surprised you were sold a weeping plant labelled 'Week End' (or 'Weekend'. It's not a weeping cultivar. Could it possibly be Forsythia suspensa - common name Weeping Forsythia. No matter what it is, if it is meant to weep, you do want to prune out the upright branches. Any chance you could post a photo so I could get a better idea of what the plant is doing?
