HI, Clare, Angelica gigas seeds must have light and some heat to germinate. Since they need light, surface sow the seeds on lightly cover with compost. Sow at 10-16C. All the best, Kathy C
The sowing instructions on my seed packet are minimal, I have read it should be sown fresh, which hasn't happened because I've just bought a packet of seeds. Some instructions say sow in pot in coldframe on edge to avoid rotting, in spring, my seed packet says sow march-may, and that's all it says. But I've read that it can be hard to germinate. Any advice appreciated.
