the frost seems to have gotten hold, will it recover come the warmer weather??

    Hi, Marie,
    It depends on how cold your winter was and if the ground froze. If it didn't sustain prolonged frost/freezing, it is possible that the foliage was killed and it could regenerate from the roots, but I think you'll just have to wait and see. Was if mulched over the winter? If it has survived, perhaps give it a thick dry mulch next autumn before the cold sets in.

    Hi Marie,I have never managed to overwinter Astelia outside I don't think it's doable,I normally take off shoots and overwintewr them in a cool g/house.
