If it is in a container, then once a month. You'll want a high nitrogen one to promote healthy, leafy growth. If in the ground, it's best to apply well-rotted manure or compost. Or, you can use a commercial feed - get a slow release, high nitrogen one and apply once in early spring and again in midsummer.
