Thanks for your kindness in replying. Of your 4 oints I suspect that my care might be somewhat inadequate under items3 & 4. Never-the-less your message had a pleasant "action at a distance" - the first blooms are appearing. Graterful for that too.

Hi, Frank,
It could be a number of reasons. Most crucial that come to mind are:
1. Are they planted in full sun? They need sun to flower well but like their roots cool. Mulch around the base.
2. Are they fed regularly?
3. Are the tubers planted at the right depth? They should be planted about 8-10cm deep with the growing point facing up.
4. Are the plants getting enough moisture? They need consistently moist soil.

help needed please

In the first year my plant produced many flowers. Subsequently - last year and this - I have increased foliage but no flowers. Over winter the bulbs/corms were allowed to dry and then replanted in early spring (as per instructions on the plant label). What might I be doing that is unhelpful?
