Hello,
I have a question about my Ribes odoratum . I bought it 3yrs ago and it has never produced any flowers . Im wondering if its to do with the bad winters we have had in Lincolnshire, if maybe i have a male plant that will never flower, im puzzled as its grown to around 5ft and seems happy enough in a semi shade position. I have fed and watered regularly . If you have any idea why or any suggestions i would be very grateful.
Thanks Amanda.

Hello Amanda. I came across your question as was looking for Ribes Laurifolium after seeing it on Gardeners World this morning.
I read that one needs male and female to produce berries. so maybe this is the case with the Odoratum.
I've googled the question and found this interesting read, but haven;t found anything about male or female plants.
Have you solved your problem now/ Your question has sat here along time with no response sadly. I know the titye says laurifoilum but it mention odoratum too https://www.telegraph.co.uk/gardening/5001984/How-to-grow-Ribes-laurifolium.html

Hi again Amanda I've discovered odoratum does not need male and female after all, so not sure what the issue is unless the buds are being pecked off or chewed off
