perennial geranium patricia

perennial geranium patricia

Please can someone advise me. The geranium has finished flowering and I need to dead head it. Do I cut the flowering stem to the base of the plant or just to the point where the flowers begin? Also I have planted it in the wrong place - it is much too big for the place I have put it. I need to move it. When would be the best time to do this?

Patricia, usually has all its flowering stems lie at the base of the plant , so you can cut all of those stems and pull out any leaf that is not looking too good, it will re-bloom in Sept. You can divide in Fall or Feb.
