Very easily lifted and divided in spring or autumn.
Dig up your plant and divide into sections. Either tease the roots apart with garden forks back to back or slice through with a spade if they are big and tough. Ensuring that each section has roots attached.
Replant in the areas you want it - keeping it well watered until it settles back in.
Depending on how confident a gardener you are - I would wait until new growth begins in sping - that way you will be able to ensure it has enough water and won't have so long to wait to see the results.
