I would say that on balance they are not worth trying to keep. But if you let them dry out a bit, you can probably save the seeds in an envelope over winter and try to get some new plants of your own by sowing them directly where you want them in the spring. Then if they don't come up, the worst that will happen is you will need to get some more.
Thanks Carol I've seen a lot of internet sites that say that they can survive winter and re-seed so Im quite confused. However I have limited space and cash for buying lots more pots so am quite confused about the best thing to do now that all my wallflower and viola plugs have arrived in their hundreds. It's a dilemma!
Hi I have lots of fountain mix lobelia in containers. Should I remove them from their pots when they start to fade and keep them say in a cold frame when I plant up my containers with Autumn and winter flowering plants. Or should I just discard them?
