do i need to cut back my delphinium, it does look untidy now, will it come back next year better for cutting back or leaving it be. thankyou dorothy

    I usually cut back mine, be careful to remove the hollow stem to the ground, after the rains when the weather gets cool, you can put some compost on it. Delphiniums are not long lived perennials for me, they have lasted for 5-8 years, when I replace them.
