Hi Elaine, did you look at the plant page for details? We put the soil the plant prefers in there. It seems it doesn't like clay. Is that your soil type?

It likes Soil type: Chalky, Loamy, Sandy

chalky I don't have, does it also like rocky soils, coming from the Mediterranean?
