Seems difficult to get this geranium to flower..... Have tried in both dry sunny border on poor slightly alkaline soil, as well as slightly damper, more fertile, partly shaded border in Herts garden. In both cases the plants have now been in 18 months! Hopefully I'll see some flowers this year??

    Hi, Jules,
Hmmmm, the poor, drier site sounds like the right place so not sure why it is being so coy. Poor, well-drained soil and, from what I have seen, full sun, particularly afternoon sun, seems to be the ticket. Though it has an AGM, there are some US growers that aren't too enamored with it because of its reluctance to flower.
    All the best,
    Kathy C

The Geranium renardii in the Bucks border which gets full hot sun until early pm has now finally flowered this year, at front of border, despite competition !
