I don't know this particular macrorrhizum - but have found that some are quite easy to remove. The worst thug in the geraniums I have found is phaeum which makes really deep roots. Its probably worth a try, clearing from some of the flowerbed and taking it back to covering just some of the ground. And you can always pot up the bits you pull out to give them to your friends (or enemies - depending how much ground cover they need!).
I planted this geranium a few years ago hoping for a moderate ground cover. Unfortunately it has taken over the flower bed and is swamping other plants. I would like to get rid of this Geranium now but feel I would have to dig up the flower bed to remove the geranium and its roots from other plants and then replant all my plants again. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
