A successful companion is Cotinus coggyria 'Royal Purple' which used as backdrop really brings out the sparkling blue of the aconitum

I would strongly advise removing the plant as it is extremely toxic - it killed a gardener in Hampshire in 204/15 after here handled it without wearing gloves.
Always wear gloves and have your arms and legs covered when working near/with the plant.
However, as orange is the opposite colour to blue, on the colour wheel I should think anything orange would look good.Dahlia 'David Howard', 'Hart's Autumn Splendour' or 'Scura' for example.

How about some bicolored coreopsis. These should flower at the same time as the aconite, and it may seem odd at first but the yellow and mahogany types should be look good and will not clash with either of the others. I use this type of coreopsis all the time they work well.
Other colours may not be as suitable, but worth a try. The aconite is very toxic, but the continus is highly irritant, related to poison ivy, my veiw is for warned is forearmed, don't start disturbing the aconite, that's how people get unstuck with it. Plenty of my clients have had them for years and no damage done, just enjoy the plants for what they are. Start removing toxic plants from the garden and there will be little left!
