Viburnum rhytidophyllum

I had a man come in to reduce the size of one of my Grisolina Hedges. While he was slashing away with his chain saw he took big chunks out of my Viburnum rhytidophyllum . It looks awful; I am of a mind to coppice it. I know I won't get any flowers next year but it look so lopsided that I need to tidy it up somehow. It is/was around 10 feet high and growing well. Oh, and I won't be having him back again. If you have some experience with this plant I would appreciate your answers. Thanks, Patricia

Hi, Patricia, Oh, I am so sorry to hear it! And so frustrating! You can coppice it but do so in very early spring. Kathy C
