Re: How do I use the 'Print A Section' tool?
Print a section can feel tricky but it’s a useful tool! Basically, rather than ask the planner to print everything it ‘sees’ on the grid, you can crop the print section and print a very controlled portion of your design.
This could be the whole design, or it could be sections that you would like to print individually and larger to see the detail.
Once you have clicked ‘print a section’ a blue box will appear. Anything within the blue box is what will be printed. You can control the measurements of this with the properties tab that pops up on the planner.
The blue box only works once. If you click through to the preview tab and then back to design without ‘completing’ the print, the blue box will disappear. You will need to click ‘print a section’ again and re-enter the box measurements.
If the blue box is on your design when you reopen the planner, you can delete it straight away, there is no problem doing this.
