Hi there, The planner won't work. It is not the first time but now I wanted to share it with a potential client and I cannot open it. I'm not using mac just a PC, my reception is fine just the planner won't open. I've deleted the app and installed it again and that didn't help. Can you please assist? Many Thanks
Hi Roz, this change is in relation to the new website launch coming later this year. We have been asking members since October last year to clear out their archived gardens as these will be paid for in the next version of Shoot. You can see the email which was sent today here. I hope that helps? Best wishes, Thea
Hi there, has anyone ever experienced loosing their archiving option? Mine seems to have vanished so, having already five live files, I can't create another. Any ideas much appreciated. Thanks Roz

Depending where in Devon you are there is likely to be a forge not too far away. I Googled ‘metal forges in Devon’ and ‘Fabricators in Devon’ and a few came up. Even if you were a number of miles away, from the forge, they would no doubt deliver for you. Alternatively, may be a local farm would have a farm worker who is good at fabricating. I suggest you place the order ASAP as the cost of materials is increasing day on day at the moment.
Although I was a gardener for many years I never took the time to notice which flowering plants butterflies didn’t go to. I want a pretty garden, but I don’t want butterflies. I know how important they are, but they can do their ‘thing’ either at the bottom of my garden, or in someone else’s. I hate them. They terrify me. The fear escalates beyond anything imaginable if one gets in the house. I almost fell of a ride-on mower one day when I was attacked by a butterfly leaping out from a bush and aiming straight for my jugular !! You probably get my point by now. So, has anyone noticed which flowering plants rarely have a visit from a butterfly, please?

Im undertaking a garden redesign One part of the project is a raised walkway but im struggling to find anyone that can help me with this.
it consists of three lengths set out in an "s" shape the lengths are 2 x 3m by .8-1m wide and a shorter one of 2m by .8-1m wide. the walkway would be .25m above the finished level with lights and plants under so an open appearance would be desired. Ive included a plan and a few pictures to explain it more clearly I’m thinking a galvanised structure bolted together on site that the grill sits in. The structure will be sat on concrete pads. The trouble is I have no idea who could make this for me. Any ideas at all. I’m in Devon in the uk.

I have spent quite a bit of time drawing out a plan of my garden, however I would like to save this original outline as a new name (my second garden plan), so that I can try an alternative design on the same outline without having to redraw it. Any suggestions? Thank you

Hi All, I’m a newbie and a novice gardener just starting out. I have a large garden in Fovant on the outskirts of Salisbury. I joined the platform in the hope I would be able to visualise my garden through the seasons. I’d like to make sure there is always something of interest from say March through to October with flowers and leaves changing colour etc. Does anyone have any tips on how to do this please? Or could you point me to any apps for the UK market that will help me do this.

Hi there, you can try the curved drawing tool (second from the left option) which will add more green and blue dots to manage the final shape. Please see attached.
I'm using the hobby garden planner to design our garden ready for landscaping, Is there any way to add extra curve points onto an object. I have a nice square lawn with edging added to my design but I want to add some curved beds and then have the lawn curve around them. At the moment there's only 1x green curve handle on each side?
Alternatively any tips to help with this would be great. Less concerned about actual colour/look as we'll choose products with the landscaper, it's just to get a visualisation of our idea printed out and something they can refer to (e.g. where to lay the lawn edging!).
Thanks.

Hello Nicola, thank you for your response. No, I am not a designer, just a member and the moodboards would be to help me plan for my own borders, making sure I am making the right planting choice so they don't look like clown borders :))
I have seen on Shoot Gardening's Facebook and Instagram accounts posts that there is the possibility to create mood boards. I am interested in this feature for my own garden but can't seem to find it. Could anyone help? Thank you

Hoping for suggestions...I have just had a veg flower garden created with high raised beds (high because I hope to graze sheep around them at times to keep the area informal but under control. However they start at the top of a slope about 30 feet long rising 6 feet from the house and look an eyesore being at eye level . The slope tapers but starts at about 30 feet wide I need low maintenance screen or at least something to soften the view about 8/12 feet high that is tough (windy here at 800 feet in Lancashire) thought of foreground rugosa backed with something taller such as field maple pruned as needed to control height but a bit boring maybe?? soil loamy a bit acidic shallow with rock and clay under but as a slope reasonably drained not shady any ideas appreciated

When I print my garden plan to paper or pdf, I have ticked box saying I want plants to be numbered so it's easier to look them up on the key. But the numbers are not nicely on top of the plant they are offset to the right, so with all the plants I have they are actually sitting on the wrong plants and totally confusing! Is there a wrong setting or someting I can change to align them? Thankyou

Hey. Yes, I agree, Tulips are very delicate and neat flowers. I would pick up something from spring flowers for example. You can find them here (url removed). These are also very beautiful flowers.

If you plan to use your tractor for mowing in addition to other basic farming tasks, like manure handling, consider a compact tractor with 25 to 45 hp. Compact tractors are convenient and easy to use. They're small size also allows you to store them in a garage or shed.
