What a wasted week!!

Last Sunday I spent 5 hours in the garden/greenhouse. Just what the Doctor ordered. I was looking forward to spending more time outdoors on Monday. No such luck, the wind was so strong it was dangerous to be out there. Tuesday wasn't any better, Wednesday I go to see a friend. Thursday and Friday I was feeling unwell although last night I was feeling much better so planning to garden today. Huh!! have had heavy rain all morning. I suppose there is always housework (I need a miserable smiley)
Sooooo! I am going to do my ironing and this evening I am going to see my 2 youngest Granddaughters (sisters) receive their Certificates for their Ballroom Dancing exams. How has your week been?

Oh dear Lorna, that doesn't sound like a lot of fun. Still, glad to hear you are feeling better and hope you have a nice evening.

I've had a draining week both at work and emotionally but I had some good news about a friend this morning which has really cheered me up. And although it was too cold and showery to get any gardening done today I turned my kitchen work surface into a potting bench and did lots of seed sowing, pricking out and potting on. So quite a productive day.

    Hi Lorna
It has been really frustrating hasn't it - I've been itching to start digging and preparingmy new veggie beds, but windand rain stopped me. Not to mention the gales that turned my plastic greenhouse upside down - wasted a couple of trays of seeds! At last managedto get out there this morning, back creaking now. Watching the boat race with a nice glass of red, before cooking the chicken for dinner. Hope you have a lovely time with your graddaughters - my daughter's 14 and always upstairs, on her Ipod or something these days! Lovely though, and very bright.

    • Great Evening.

Really enjoyed the evening. Both Granddaughters
Jessica 9 and Bethany 7 passed both exams with high % results. Jessica is more dedicated and I had no idea that she was so advanced in ballroom dancing. The highlight of the evening for us was when she also received a large silver cup as an award for getting the highest average marks in the exams. We were in tears as this award was so unexpected. I guess you could say I am a very proud Nan!!

        Hi Lorna,
They're a lovely age, I bet you were proud. When mine was little I always got tearful at dancing, nativities etc. She did ballet until she was 7 then said she didn't want to do the exams. Let's hope she doesn't do the same with her GCSE's !
Weather's getting warmer - hoorah. Will watch out for your garden/greenhouse activities.

Georgie, hope your week's a lot better too.

        Congratulations to Jessica and Bethany.

Sounds like they are doing really well, well they must be if they're already being awarded silver cups!

I bet they love Strictly Come Dancing don't they?

        Jo.

        • Oooooh yes!

          Shoot User
Definitely, takes a few years, but we can recognise them! She's great, and will succeed no matter what. Chalk andcheese, strange isn't it how they can be so different? Bethany looks very wise and lovely, and deserves the best.
How proud you must be. It's funny but pictures of my daughter recently have veered between the two - probably mood change!
