Hi, Emily,
Just wondering how large of a pot? Wisteria can thrive in a pot as long is it is pruned regularly each year (usually twice with a hard winter prune being the key), root pruned every three years or so, and fed regularly in growth. Root pruning involves lifting the plant from the pot and removing no more than a third of the older, woodier roots. It is a big job, but necessary if you want it to remain healthy in its pot.

Hi Marissa, thanks for getting back to me . I brought the wisteria when it was in bloom it had lots of flowers for a small young tree . It has grown a lot since i potted it but i'm a little worried that it may need a lot of root space i planted it in a large pot i hope it is big enough thanks again emily

Hi Emily, it is quite normal for the leaves to drop at this time of year, my Wisteria went a lovely yellow before leaf-fall, now I need to get out in the garden and tidy up after it! Did you get any flowers this year? Marissa

CAN ANY ONE HELP I BROUGHT A WISTERIA LAST SPRING AND I WANTED IT TO GROW UP THE SIDE OF THE HOUSE BUT IT IS CONCRETED SO I COULD NOT PLANT IT IN THE GROUND I PUT IT IN A LARGE POT AND IT WAS DOING WELL IT HAS GROWN ABOUT 12 FEET UP THE WALL BUT NOW ALL THE FOLIAGE HAS FALLEN OFF IS THIS NORMAL DUE TO THE WEATHER AND WILL IT BE OK IN THE POT ?
