  • Hi Emily, it is quite normal for the leaves to drop at this time of year, my Wisteria went a lovely yellow before leaf-fall, now I need to get out in the garden and tidy up after it! Did you get any flowers this year? Marissa

Hi Marissa, thanks for getting back to me . I brought the wisteria when it was in bloom it had lots of flowers for a small young tree . It has grown a lot since i potted it but i'm a little worried that it may need a lot of root space i planted it in a large pot i hope it is big enough thanks again emily

      • Wisteria in a pot

        Hi, Emily,
Just wondering how large of a pot? Wisteria can thrive in a pot as long is it is pruned regularly each year (usually twice with a hard winter prune being the key), root pruned every three years or so, and fed regularly in growth. Root pruning involves lifting the plant from the pot and removing no more than a third of the older, woodier roots. It is a big job, but necessary if you want it to remain healthy in its pot.
