Yes! Cutting down to the ground is the way to go with Leucanthemum x superbum, and if you are thinking of dividing up a large clump- this is best done in the winter.

I have cut this plant back to ground level and mulched over with some bark - should I have just given this a trim as opposed to a full skin head?
