Hi, Tim, Lamium are susceptible to a fungal disease that causes the purplish spots you are describing. Leaf spot typically occurs in cool, wet conditions (the fungus thrives in this environment and the plant can better fight off attack in dry conditions). If feasible, remove the affected leaves and then spray with a fungicide. If the plants are covered, you might want to start again and apply a preventative application to new plants or plant a cultivar that is more resistant to fungal attack - 'Orchid Frost' is one such type.
