Fatsia japonica variegata

My plant is losing its variegated colour on the leaves . Planted last October in partial shade (leaves were a lovely green with cream variegation now mostly just green with a couple still showing variegation). Plant currently about 750mm x 750mm. Soil is clay and has been quite waterlogged through spring
